Dinner: Authentic Beijing duck.
Day 2- Beijing: Visit
the Great Wall; sightsee the
2008 Olympic Game site.
Day 3- Beijing: Visit
the Summer Palace and Original Summer Palace (Emperors and their
family's personal parks); stroll through one-of-a-kind
Beijing's intriguing alleyway; enjoy breathtaking Chinese acrobatics.
Day 4- Xian: Explore
Bell Tower and Drum Tower in the center of Xian; visit the ancient
army of Terra Cotta Warriors.
Day 5- Xian: See
the Great Goose Pagoda; visit Huaqing Hot Spring (The most beautiful
concubine's bathtub in Tang Dynasty), Tomb
of Emperor Qin (the first emperor of China, who built the Great
Wall and for whose burial the Terra Cotta were created)
Day 6- Nanjing: Tour
the "Capital of Six Dynasties" including
Confucian Temple; go biking among
locals; enjoy local snacks on the specialty food street.
Day 7- Nanjing: Sightsee
Yuejiang Lou Tower (built in Ming Dynasty); shop at SoHo Silk Market
and Chaotian Gong Antique Market.
Day 8- Suzhou (Venice
of the Orient): Visit famous Chinese garden Humble Administrator's
Garden; boat ride
over the Grand Canal (tunneled in Shui Dynasty)
Day 9- Suzhou: Tour
Tiger Hill; visit local's home with extended family living together:
have homemade
food with locals, play Mahjiang,
and familiarize with Chinese everyday life,
Day 10- Hangzhou
(renowned the most beautiful place on earth by Chinese): Sightsee
the West
Lake/Three
Pools Reflecting the Moon,
the Temple of the Soul's Retreat (founded in AD 326) and
stroll though the ancient streets.
Day 11- Hangzhou: Climb the Pagoda of Six Harmonies; visit China Tea Museum and Dragon
Well
Tea Park.
Day 12- Shanghai: Start your day with a trip to Yu Garden and go over to the Bund
for
a leisurely
stroll; Walk down Nanjing Lu to
experience Shanghai's busiest street; dine by the lit-up
Bund with good views of the river.
Day 13-Shanghai: Visit Shanghai Museum; boat ride over Huangpu River; Go top of
Oriental
Pearl Tower
for a bird's view of the
city's night; enjoy old-fashioned Beijing Opera.
Day
14-Shanghai: Go to Fuxing Park to see people practice Tai Chi;
shop in Xintiandi Mall; indulge yourself with
a massage
or spa;
get packed for returning.
